Known for blending elements of vérité realism with cinematic polish, Michael Medoway's work dances between the grounded and the surreal.
Medoway was nominated for a 2019 YDA and selected for SHOOT's 2019 New Directors Showcase for his Lexus spot, "The Art of The Dunk." His recent projects have garnered several Clio Awards, an Emmy, a Telly and was shortlisted for D&AD, Berlin Commercial, ONE SHOW, 1.4, Webby and ADC Awards.
His latest film for ESPN, “The Greatest Save,” follows Hall of Fame goalkeeper Kasey Keller through his storied career and a harrowing battle with cancer off the pitch.
“El Gallo,” a portrait of world champion boxer Juan Estrada, was an official selection at DOC NYC 2018, won Best Short Documentary at the Rome Independent Cinema Festival and was later acquired by DAZN for broadcast.
